Group Accountability Through Nutrition

Nutrition challenge alert! DeNovo is putting on an 8-week nutrition challenge from September 8 through November 2. If you've considered signing up for a nutrition challenge in the past, but something was holding you back, now is the time to take that leap. You will learn a lot in 8 weeks and come away with healthy habits and tools to make more informed choices leading into the holiday season! This is a small group challenge, with only 7 spots available. Participating in a group nutrition challenge can offer numerous benefits for those seeking to improve their eating habits and overall health.

A structured group setting provides a built-in support system that fosters accountability and motivation. Knowing that others are on a similar journey, facing the same struggles and celebrating similar successes, can help you stay committed to your goals. Sharing your progress and receiving encouragement from the group, and your coach, can help you make healthier choices more consistently.

DeNovo nutrition challenges offer valuable information about healthy eating, balanced meals, and the impact of nutrition on your overall well-being. This means we look at nutrition from a holistic lens - think sleep, daily/weekly structure, mindset, even thinking about the decisions we make in social settings. Nutrition is about much more than simply the foods we put into our body; yes, food is a large part and it’s all about balance. Good nutrition plays a crucial role in mental well-being, and a balanced diet can improve mood, reduce stress, and enhance mental clarity.

The challenge will focus on gradually incorporating new, healthy habits over the 8 weeks, which can lead to lasting changes. By consistently following a structured plan within a supportive group, you can establish new routines and build a foundation for a healthier lifestyle. Successfully completing a nutrition challenge is a significant achievement that can boost your self-esteem and confidence, which can then bleed into other areas of your life.

You will start each week with a group Zoom call with coach Jorine, where you will go over the habit for that week, get access to resources to help you with said habit, and share your goals with the group. Connecting with others can reduce feelings of isolation and create a sense of camaraderie. The social support and shared experience can be a powerful motivator for long-term success with maintaining healthy behaviors.

Signing up is easy - just write your name on the nutrition challenge flyer hanging on the white board at DeNovo! The cost is just $99 a month for two months. If you have questions, be sure to ask a coach! The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, September 2. Our last challenge filled in about a week so, if you’re considering it, don’t waffle around for too long! (mmm, waffles).
