How did you discover CrossFit?
Happen to come across it back in the day when it was first televised on ESPN.
What draws you to DeNovo CrossFit?
Initially, it was the Sunday Hyrox class. Now it’s how friendly everyone is here.
What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment in life?
Making it to 55 years relatively healthy and mostly sane.
What or who EMPOWERS you at DeNovo?
The motivation I get from the instructors and other members. Collectively, everyone makes me want to do better and train harder.
What is your favorite way to use your fitness outside of the gym?
Running trails in the foothills.
What is your pet peeve?
Rudeness.
Favorite workout song.
I don’t have a favorite song per se. I generally listen to house music during workouts.
Favorite CrossFit movement or type of workout?
Currently trying to learn toes to bar. Headstand pushups next. Biggest hurdle will be the rope climbs.
What advice would you have for anyone who is nervous to join DeNovo?
It’s not a typical intimidating CrossFit box. Everyone is very warm and inviting. A place for all levels of fitness.
What do you do professionally?
I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
If we were sitting here one year from now, what would we be celebrating together?
I can do all the CrossFit movements.
What are you currently reading?
Trying to get through Dune Messiah, but it’s making my head hurt.
What are you thankful for?
Having great friends and family.
