How did you discover CrossFit?
Through my place of employment; some of the Realtors were into it so I decided to check it out
What draws you to DeNovo CrossFit?
The variety of workouts, the community, and the coaches
What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment in CrossFit and in life?
In CrossFit, increasing the amount of times I go per week and the small gains I am making. In life, just surviving this crazy thing we call life so far.
What athlete/s at DeNovo inspire you to be the best version of yourself each and every day?
Honestly, everyone! They show up and that’s probably one of the hardest parts, but they did it, and it makes me want to do it too!
What is your pet peeve?
When people don’t pick up after their pets, or when they leave their dirty poo bags on the sidewalk or on a trail
What/who inspires you?
Really anyone who has accomplished something they’ve been working toward or are even in the process of working toward, no matter how big or small. That takes determination and they are amazing for even trying.
Favorite workout song?
Anything upbeat or that I know the lyrics to… Singing along while working through a WOD is a great distraction!
What advice would you have for anyone who is nervous to join DeNovo?
Just try it out at least twice, it’s not as scary as you think!
What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit, both for fun and professionally?
For fun, I love a good crossword, reading, DIY projects, and spending time in the garden, as well as all the usual Colorado things like hiking, camping, and paddleboarding. Professionally, I work in real estate. I work for a couple of Realtors ( you know one of them, Travis) as a licensed assistant. I’m happy to be behind the scenes in that crazy industry ;)
If we were sitting here one year from now, what would we be celebrating together?
Hmm, I just persuaded someone I know to jump on the DeNovo wagon after they had a blast at BAFW! Working out with friends is way more fun :)
Favorite CrossFit movement?
Push press
What are you currently reading?
Homecoming - Kate Morton - A lengthy read, but worth it! Keeps you on the edge of your seat, but in a good way.
What are you thankful for?
So many things! The list is seemingly endless because I think each day brings the opportunity to be thankful for at least a hundred different things and I try to make it a point to just throw out a “thanks” and have thoughts of gratitude as those things come up.
