DeNovo did you know - class reservations calendar syncing

DID YOU KNOW?

According to James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, you are 91% more likely to follow through on your workouts if you have them specifically scheduled in your calendar (what and where).

In honor of our current Monthly Mission (class sign-up accountability), we wanted to dive a bit into the benefits to scheduling your workouts in advance, even when it seems impossible with life being, well… life!

Planning your week ahead of time can help you

  • Improve your fitness and skill development by not cherry-picking workouts (avoiding certain movements/workouts)

  • Reduce your risk of injuries by improving your muscle memory and confidence with movements/lifts or by forcing you to recognize when you need a rest day in your calendar

  • Improve the planning in other areas of your life that often get pushed aside (meal prep, “you” time, a yoga/mobility/breath-work practice,

One of our FAVORITE features of the PushPress app is that you can sync your class reservations right to your personal calendar!

More accountability. More ownership. More control.

Less feeling alone. Less backing out. Less excuses.

Simply:

  • Go to the settings icon from the homepage

  • Click on preferences

  • Click Sync reservations on calendar

  • Choose which calendar(s) you want your DeNovo class schedule to sync to

Check out what some of our athletes have to say about booking their classes well ahead of time:

“Scheduling my week of workouts in advance is a commitment to myself. And, when life feels chaotic, it’s *almost always something I can control.” - Liz Hysen

“Planning ahead allows me to review my schedule for the upcoming week and ensure that I make time for the gym. When I schedule ahead and class times are synced to my calendar, I am actively able to plan around my workouts (usually) when other activities pop up.” - Allison Kreikemeier

“Scheduling means that I am consciously prioritizing my fitness. It’s the first thing I put on my calendar every week outside of my work schedule. I make changes to it all the time but just having it on the calendar means that I will reschedule rather than just forget it completely.” - Stacey Johnson

“I schedule out my week so I can have a plan and stick to it. If I have my workout scheduled, I won’t book anything else (usually).
I also do it ahead of time so I don’t forget to reserve a class and then do it last minute which doesn’t allow the coach to have much time to plan for the class size.” -
Nikki Larrick

“I have admired/looked up to folks who have their week scheduled out. It is a good exercise in planning to succeed for the week and being more intentional about life. When I first joined, I noticed when I would check on Sunday that Allison and Stacey always had their workouts scheduled out during the week. Plus your friends will see that you're signed up and come and join you!! :-)” - Ron Pichel

“Once it a class is scheduled, it feels "official " to me. That makes exercise a concrete choice instead of an abstract possibility.” - Bill Binder

“The control freak in me is obsessed with signing up in advance. I feel like it’s important for me, but for the coaches who plan set up and also my gym mates so the class size is honest.” - Jennie Washburn
