What prompted you to start nutrition coaching with DeNovo Nutrition?

I wanted to improve my eating habits and support movement in the gym.

What are 3-4 things that you GAINED throughout this experience?

Balanced meals and snacks and recipes and ideas too

Energy and strength at the gym

Positive choices at meal times

Support and accountability

What are 2-3 things that you LOST?

5+ inches

Cravings for sweets in the evenings

What is the biggest thing that you have learned since starting nutrition coaching?

Proper and quick meals can still be healthy. The plate method was a big thing I learned--I do well with portion sizes but balancing my meals and what I eat with my salmon, for example, is important. I learned to have lots of color on my plate!

What were you struggling with before you signed up for our nutrition program?

Eating out for lunches and not taking time to prepare meals at home.

How did our nutrition program help solve that problem?

I learned that it's easy to make simple meals for myself and what to have on my plate. It's always on my mind now-- add that fruit & veg!

What was different about our nutrition program compared to diets you've tried in the past?

The only diet I did in the past was intermittent fasting. I feel that intermittent fasting is not a long-term solution and definitely is not sustainable for me. This method (nutrition coaching at DeNovo) is simple to follow and definitely more sustainable long-term in meeting my healthy weight goals and to get stronger at the gym.

Tell us about the moment when you realized our nutrition program was actually working to solve your problem?

Jenny in muy subconscious mind telling me what I should have and helping me make better decisions. If I wanted lunch out, I would think to myself, "Jenny isn't going to be pleased with that choice. Also I just worked out and I need to follow up with a proper meal and not to ruin what I just accomplished."

Tell us what life looks like now that your problem is solved or is being solved?

Better overall choices at the grocery store, meal times and at restaurants.

How has the accountability and support of nutrition coaching helped you stay on track?

I've learned simple solutions to better my meals. Also, I hate to admit this, but the accountability from Jenny was very helpful. I appreciated her checking in with me, and allowing me to ask for help.

What would you say to someone considering nutrition coaching with DeNovo Nutrition?

It's vital to meet your goals, and it's always good to have that extra push. The program was definitely worth it.
